Coca-Cola pocket knives are available in a plethora of styles and designs; they are eagerly pursued by both Coca-Cola collectors and knife collectors alike – especially when they turn up for sale in exceptional condition.
Internet and in-house bidders battled it out for this fine example of a near mint Coca-Cola Bottling Company “bartender’s knife” that carried a $300 to $500 presale estimate at a Jan. 22 Morphy Auctions sale.
The attractive piece fetched a whopping $600. The “mechanically pefect” circa 1920s to 1940s specialty knife measures 3 1/2 inches long and has two blades. The handles are nickel silver with Coca-Cola advertising and appealing graphics.
