The original 151st semi-annual York Antiques Show and Sale is scheduled for Friday-Sunday, Aug. 29-31 at Memorial Hall East at theYork Fairgrounds Convention & Expo Center in downtown York, Pa.
This extremely popular event will feature 96 carefully screened exhibitors in room settings offering a truly impressive range of antiques. Show manager Melvin L. Arion said, “The merchandise at York will run the full gamut, including 18th and 19 century period American and English furniture in beautiful hardwoods as well as country pieces sporting original paint and decoration, fine early porcelain, pottery and stoneware, Oriental carpets, early kitchen and fireplace items and much more.”
The show and sale will offer a broad mixture and variety of antiques, so that any visitor can find a new treasure. In addition, credit cards are accepted, making buying convenient.
Because of its longstanding reputation, York’s show has very little dealer turnover. This year saw the retirement of several dealers, leaving room for new exhibitors from New Hampshire, New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Show hours on Friday and Saturday will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Parking is free, the building is air-conditioned, and good food will be available. Admission is $10 per person (or $9 with this article).
