January Antiques & Collectibles Show still going strong after 16 years

The Jan. 24-25, 2009, Collectors Carnival Antique & Collectibles Show is still one of the best for many of Collectors Carnival’s antique dealers.

The specialized show’s smaller size draws a knowledgeable shopper looking for quality antiques and collectibles, which results in consistently good sales for the January show dealers.

The timing of the show also helps. With the show always on the last weekend in January, shoppers have typically recovered from the holidays, are tired of being cooped up and have some Christmas money to spend.

This show, the first of six in the Collectors Carnival 2009 schedule, will be Jan. 24-25 at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Center in Evansville, Ind. Promoted by Brent and Suzie Pace since 1992, the Collectors Carnival shows have proven to be well advertised, organized and operated over the past 16 years.

The Jan. 24-25 Antiques & Collectibles Show will fill two heated buildings with approximately 100 dealers from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Misssouri, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and beyond.

The merchandise will range from fine antiques to advertising, primitives, furniture, glassware, linens, postcards, pottery and general collectibles.
Show hours and admission: Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.-4 p.m., $2 per person, Saturday preview shopper 7-9 a.m., $5 per person, Friday setup shopper 3-8 p.m., $15 person.

The entire 2009 six-show schedule, along with contracts, building maps, driving directions, hotel information, etc., is available online at www.collectorscarnivalshows.com or call 812-471-9419.
