For the 28th Year Farmington Antiques & Design Antiques on the Polo Grounds west of Hartford June 13-14

FARMINGTON, Conn. – For the 28th consecutive year Farmington Antiques & Design Weekend will be held June 13-14, 2009 at the famous Polo Grounds in Farmington, Conn. The site plays host not to polo ponies and their riders for this June weekend but instead has 200 dealers of antiques and high-end home furnishings on display and for sale to the thousands that have been coming to the show two times each year.

The show has a strong tradition as the place to furnish the home with antiques from most American styles and periods. Continuing that philosophy Jenkins Show Management has encouraged some additions over the recent past in the offerings to include 20th century designs along with their extensive offerings of the Early American manner. Farmington is known as a primary source for finding the best selection of furniture, porcelain and earthenware, home accessories and early Americana.

Farmington Antiques & Design Weekend is open Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. with no other early buying that day; admission fee of $10 is good for two days. Sunday the hours are 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with admission at $7. Food service is available on the field as well as free parking for all. Directions to the show are from I-84, take the Farmington Route 4 exit west bound, about a mile and a half to a right at Tunxis Plantation Golf Course onto Town Farm Road, to the Polo Grounds a quarter mile away.  The second session will be Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 5-6, 2009.
