Leslie Hindman Auctioneers announces appointment of Mark F. Moran

Leslie Hindman Auctioneers is pleased to announce that Mark F. Moran has joined the firm in the Fine Furniture and Decorative Arts and Business Development departments. He will perform appraisals and work with estate planners in regions west of Chicago, primarily in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.

Moran has worked in the antiques business for more than 30 years and most recently was with Krause Publications as a senior editor in the antiques publications division.* He is the author of more than 25 books, including Warman’s Antiques and Collectibles.

Previous roles for Moran include editorial director for F+W Media Antiques Group, editor for Antique Review East magazine, and contributing editor for Antique Trader magazine. He was also the producer of Atlantique City, the world’s largest indoor antiques and collectibles show held at the Atlantic City (N.J.) Convention Center.

“I’m thrilled to join Leslie’s staff at a time when Leslie Hindman Auctioneers is seeing such phenomenal growth and strong auction prices,” Moran said.

“We are delighted Mark is joining us,” said Ms. Hindman. “His knowledge base and established relationships will be an asset to our firm, particularly in his regions of focus.
