Oct. 21. The wine “Evening Sale” concept was born from the great evening art auctions, which featured only masterpieces in their respective categories – and this short, focused wine auction follows suit, featuring only the best of the best fine wines. The auction, which includes more than 450 lots of fine wine and spirits, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. Bidders can place online bids in real-time during the live auction on Invaluable.com, or by using the Invaluable app for iPad and iPhone.

While nearly every lot in the auction could be considered a stand-out, especially notable lots include an Assortment Case of Domaine de la Romanee Conti 1990 (estimated at $36,000 – $55,000), one bottle of Montrachet Domaine de la Romanee Conti 1978 (estimated at $4,000 – $6,000), a 6L of Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1982 (estimated at $18,000 – $28,000) and two bottles of Romanee Conti Domaine de la Romanee Conti 2003 (estimated at $32,000 – $48,000). Other highlights from the auction include a 3L of Chateau Petrus 1982 (estimated at $15,000 – $22,000), three bottles of Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 (estimated at $6,500 – $9,500), 12 bottles of Chateau Haut Brion 1959 (estimated at $15,000 – $22,000) and four bottles of Hermitage JL Chave 1990 (estimated at $6,000 – $9,000).

Notable fine spirits featured in the auction include a bottle of Remy Martin Louis XIII Black Pearl Cognac in a Baccarat crystal decanter (estimated at $15,000 – $24,000) and three bottles of Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 23 Year Old Bourbon (estimated at $6,000 – $9,000).
