ATLANTA, Ga. – Red Baron’s Antiques is gearing up for “the big one,” their largest auction of the year, which will be held Nov. 6-7, with some amazing historical lots found nowhere else.

Their newest acquisitions include pieces from the Princess Lucie Shirazi Foundation’s Jadot-Rops Collection, that have never before been available on the market. Lucie Shirazi, wife of Prince Ali Shirazi Parvaz of Iran, was born in Namur, Belgium, the daughter of Gabriel Jadot, a railroad mogul, and Renee Rops, a Belgium Beaux Arts artist, and great neice of Felicien Rops, the most celebrated Belgian painter and engraver of the 19th century. She was a lover of the arts and began a foundation to expose people to all aspects of them, as well being a patron of many other philanthropic societies.

The pieces that Red Baron’s will offer have been in residence at the Brenau University Museum since the 1990s and are some of the finest, made especially for royalty.

Other historical items up for auction, which have come from private collections, include a handmade signed bench by President Jimmy Carter with photo and note, as well as a copy of “The Prism 1932,” Ronald Reagan’s senior yearbook with autographed message from the President himself.

These three items are just a few of the more than 2,500 lots that Red Baron’s plans of having cross the auction block this November. Other noteworthy items include a large emerald, an exceptional wax figure of General Grant in full uniform by Madame Tussauds of England, two large meteorites from a prominent collection and much more.

Red Baron Antiques is one of the oldest, largest and widely-known fine antiques sources in the Southeast and is located at 6450 Roswell Rd, Atlanta, GA 30328. The firm is celebrating more than 35 years of providing its customers with world-class service and unique inventory, displayed at its gallery facility, which is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 9-6, and Saturday from 9-4. Red Baron is closed on Sundays.
