Use, re-use and recycle: a new vintage blog is born

We are living in a “throw away” society where it seems like just about everything is, well… disposable. At Vintage Ventures, the focus is on using, re-using and recycling those things that are stored in the attic, basement, closet or storage shed rather than adding to our landfills – while lending some pizazz, spice and character to our homes at the same time!

The Vintage Ventures Blog was created in January, 2009 by Sidekikz Vintage Collectibles as a venue for sharing ideas on how to use vintage treasures in everyday living. Sidekikz’ brick and mortar shop location is based out of Milton, West Virginia – the home of Blenko Glass, while their current online location is TIAS.com – the largest online venue for antiques and collectibles.

Some of the ideas and photos shared in the Blog will be provided by other vendors of The Old Timey Shop on Main Street in Milton. The Old Timey Shop is well known for their nice collection of vintage West Virginia Glass, Fenton and Blenko, as well as for their excellent values on a variety of antiques and collectibles.
