Qing Dynasty jade carving may earn up to $100,000

Large white jade mountain, China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the naturalistic rock form carved the figures of an elder and a boy, their features intricately carved, surrounded by overhanging trees, a moon in the sky and a wave below a rock, the reverse carved with more trees and rock formations, 5 3/8" h x 7 3/4" w, on wood stand, 7" h.

A carved Chinese rhinoceros horn libation cup from the 17th or 18th century sold for $318,600 at a sale of Asian antiques held in Florida. Another highlight was a Chinese hand-carved red coral figure depicting a seated happy Buddha, from the Late Qing period, which sold for $28,750. Read More +
