ATF helps bring Bonnie and Clyde pistol to auction
The “squat” pistol found strapped to Bonnie Parker’s thigh after she and Clyde Barrow were killed is coming to auction this weekend with help from the ATF. The pistol was missing its original serial numbers, which the ATF were able to replace so the gun could be sold at auction taking place Sept. 30, 2012. Read More +

The Gateway collection of 19th and 20th century firearms, featuring the famous Bob Dalton Colt pistol, is up for auction Sept. 7-9, 2012 by Rock Island Auction Co. It joins several important private vintage firearm collections coming to auction at the same time. The Dalton pistol is the most culturally-histoic gun in the sale. At nearly $18 million, James D. Julia’s Spring Firearms and Knife Auction March 12-13, 2012 in Fairfield, Maine, set a new house record for vintage guns and firearms. Also of note was another firearms auction, held by Julia’s sister and brother-in-law, the Poulin Auction Company, which grossed more than $2 million the three days preceding the Julia sale.
