Coins, comics, timepieces, fine art, and sports memorabilia are some of the categories at Heritage Auctions to finish 2016 with growth and forward momentum. Heritage Auction leaders share a look back at a year that produced sales of more than $850M.
A record number of bidders participated in the March 17-19 auction at Hake's Americana, where pair of mechanical, painted-composition Mickey and Minnie Mouse store displays sold $29,222.
The Curt Swan cover art for Action Comics #309 helped rewrite the record books at Hake’s when it closed at $112,015 at the Nov. 19-21 auction at Hake's, which finished with total sales of $1,346,848, the highest-grossing auction since the company’s launch in 1967.
Heritage Auctions sees their best year to date, with comics, sports, and fine & decorative art setting new highs in 2012.
