Reader’s Digest Corporate collection set to sell Aug. 19

A collection of about 500 works of art from the Reader’s Digest Corporate collection are up for bid Aug. 19 through Nye and Company.

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. -- The August auction being offered by Nye and Company Auctioneers & Appraisers consists of 20th century fine art, photography and prints deaccessioned from the Reader’s Digest Corporate collection. Formerly in the Pleasantville, New York headquarters, the works were removed when the company relocated to new offices. Part 1 includes about 500 pieces of art and with a motivated consignor will be priced to sell. There are numerous landscapes, numbered and limited lithographs, botanicals, floral and animal compositions, abstract works and architectural images.

The sale is open for bidding on www.liveauctioneers.com now through August 19th. The exhibition and public viewing is available also from now until the 19th. The galleries are not open Saturday.
