Oct 8, 2022, San Marino. American Political Items Collectors (APIC) will be exhibiting over 150 years of political memorabilia at its annual Political Memorabilia Show & Sale at the San Marino Masonic Center, 3130 Huntington Drive, San Marino (Pasadena), CA. This annual show is an opportunity for the public to discover the value of political treasures, see interesting displays of political memorabilia, and learn about the politics through campaign buttons, posters, flags, and other ephemera from the 2020 political campaign back to the 1860s when Abe Lincoln became the first Republican president. The public may bring in political items for free appraisals. Hidden in attics, trunks, and cigar boxes, many political collectibles are gathering dust while their owners are unaware of their value. Previous appraisals have uncovered such valuable finds as vintage JFK campaign posters, Teddy Roosevelt presidential autographs, Civil War dairy and letters, and rare FDR buttons. The political campaign button is an American original and people who collect political memorabilia are fascinated by American history. While some buttons can sell for thousands of dollars, many buttons can be acquired by new collectors for a dollar or two. Free political buttons will be given to children. Appraisals are also free and there will be an auction in the early afternoon. SH: 10am-3pm. Aug 27, 2022, Madison. Ceramic Arts Studio Collectors, the club for all those with an interest in the work of Ceramic Arts Studio, will have its 2022 CAS Collectors Convention in Madison. The theme, “Seasons Of CAS!,” celebrates the ageless appeal of Ceramic Arts figurines, an appreciation that’s spanned the seasons since the Studio first opened its doors in 1940. CAS charmers brightened homes from coast to coast during the 1940s and ‘50s, brighten hearts today, and will continue to brighten collectors’ hearts for decades to come. From 9am-3:30pm on Saturday, convention attendees will take in the Wisconsin Pottery Association Show & Sale at the Alliant Energy Center. Later, all will gather at a new locale, the Madison Comfort Inn and Suites, for the festivities. Activities and décor will pay tribute to the Studio’s illustrious heritage. There’ll be party favors and take-home souvenirs, door prizes, and colorful centerpieces. Convention registration, which remains at $60 per person, includes all evening activities, plus the Commemorative. Registrations will be accepted up until two weeks prior to the event. Forms and full information are available on the club’s website,
