Pook & Pook, Inc., of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, is presenting its Online Only Coins & Jewelry auction on Wednesday, Nov. 7, beginning at 9 a.m. This online auction spans more than 500 lots and includes hundreds of collectible coins and many distinctive pieces of jewelry. The sale draws from various local estates and collections with scores of pieces hitting the market for the first time in decades.
Online Auction: Coins & Currency
November’s online auction will begin with collectible domestic currency, with a selection of items including coins and paper currency crossing the block, with many chances to grab that final coin to complete your set. Novice collectors may also see the sale as the opportunity to begin their own collection, with a number of mint sets and proof sets sparking that urge to collect. Gold coins in the sale are plentiful, with Liberty heads, Indian heads, and Liberty eagles. Silver coins are also represented with Morgan and Peace silver dollars, Kennedy half dollars, and various commemorative coins from numerous occasions and eras.
South African fine gold Krugerrands are represented in abundance, as are gold and silver ingots. A 1924 St. Gaudens $20 gold coin will no doubt draw the eye of keen collectors, carrying a $900-$1,000 estimate.
Two American Arts gold medallions are also a unique addition to the sale, dated 1980 and depicting American Gothic painter Grant Wood ($1,800-$2,000). A special late addition to the sale includes a lot of Polish coins with a Sebastian Dadler silver medal dated 1635. Paper currency on offer includes U.S. red and blue seal notes, two Philadelphia 1914 Federal Reserve notes and groups of foreign and domestic collectible currency.

The latter half of Wednesday morning’s sale will feature more than 300 lots of fine and costume jewelry. Items on offer range from jewels and gemstones to chic and attractive costume jewelry, with a range of price points.
