BOSTON - An Important Jewelry auction at Skinner, Inc. on Sept. 17 will feature almost 200 lots of antique, period, and contemporary jewelry.

Highlights from the auction include a Twinstone Kashmir sapphire ring by Cartier, an antique diamond sunburst brooch from the collection of Hope Goddard Iselin, and a selection of Art Deco jewelry.

Antique diamond sunburst brooch, Howard & Co., late 19th century, centering an old European-cut diamond weighing approx. 6.25 cts., and old European- and old mine-cut diamonds, approx. total wt. 21.25 cts., platinum-topped gold mount, 2-5/8” l, signed, in original fitted box. Estimate $30,000-$50,000. Provenance: Descended in the family of Mrs. Hope Goddard Iselin of New York and Newport, from her mother, Mary Edith Jenckes Goddard. Mrs. Iselin was an avid horsewoman, golfer and accomplished sailor who competed on an international level.
