Mid-17th century engraving of Beatrix Cosantia, Princess of Cantecroyana, by Joannes Meyssens (Anthony van Dyck) in Antwerp with a collector’s stamp of Heinrich Friedrich de la Motte-Fouquet. Aside from water damage to the upper right-hand corner, insects have eaten away the paper in that section. Interestingly, the ink from the engraving remains intact much like a spider’s web. The damage significantly devalues this engraving from $400 to $20
